Our property operates as a nursery and our personal residence, there are young children and animals that reside at this address. We kindly request that you exercise caution and drive slowly at all times, and respect our property whilst on site.
As an operating nursery there are inherent dangers on site, including machinery, unsafe ground conditions, and chemicals, which could potentially cause injury to children and pets. Therefore, we request that all children and pets be supervised at all times, ideally remaining in the car during their visit unless prior permission is sought.
We welcome you to take photos and video whilst visiting the nursery and kindly request you respect the privacy of our neighbours and ensure their properties are not captured in any images or videos you take.
Payment Terms
All plants remain the property of Hillside Trees until paid for in full.
Acceptable forms of payment include direct debit, cash and EFT payment. Full payment is required before plants are removed from Hillside Trees property.
Cheque payment is not accepted.
Price
All prices and charges are subject to change without notice based upon seasonal fluctuations.
Invoices are to be paid prior to pick-up or delivery unless Hillside Trees has agreed Terms with the customer prior to pick-up or delivery.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers must be paid for in full at the time of purchase and are valid for three years from the month of purchase. Gift vouchers are redeemable for the purchase of plants, delivery, labour or hire services provided by Hillside Trees.
Gift voucher amounts, including remaining amounts from partial redemption of a gift voucher are non-refundable.
Holding and Re-Potting Fees
Plants paid in full and left at the Hillside Trees property will incur holding and/or re-potting fees. Holding fees will commence 21 days from the date of purchase and re-potting fees will be incurred when determined by Hillside Trees as being necessary for the health of the plant. Hillside Trees will contact the customer and discuss the potential options and costs for managing held stock.
Hillside Trees holding fees and re-potting fees will be calculated based upon plant species, pot sizes and quantities and will include the cost of all labour, materials, fertilisers, watering requirements, ongoing care and maintenance of the plants.
Delivery and Shipping
Responsibility for plants delivered by Hillside Trees ceases when plants are received and accepted by the customer. The customer must ensure safe access and space for delivery, provide adequate assistance for unloading, and address any safety hazards.
Responsibility for plants transported via outside carriers ceases when stock leaves Hillside Trees property. Claims due to damage in transit should be directed to the relevant transport company.
Plants may be picked-up by the customer. A 24 hour notification period is required to pickup plants on non-opening days, otherwise access to the property may not be possible. Loading risk to customer's vehicles, equipment or plants is entirely at the customer’s risk. It is the customer's responsibility to provide adequate transport, trailers and tie downs to ensure the load is safe. Hillside Trees responsibility for plants picked-up by customers ceases when the plants leave the Hillside Trees property.
It is the customer's responsibility to check all plants upon pick-up or delivery. Once the products are picked-up or delivered Hillside Trees cannot guarantee their future viability due to factors, including but not limited to; storage, planting, watering, weather; outside Hillside Tree’s control.
Returns and Refunds
Hillside Trees do not provide any exchange, return, refund or change of mind services once plants leave the nursery due to factors which may affect the future viability of stock including but not limited to; storage, planting, watering, feeding, weather; outside Hillside Tree’s control.
Warranty and Guarantees
As our plants are living things, we recommend you ask us for information regarding planting and follow directions on the tree tag to ensure you have the best success. We do not provide any type of warranty once plants leave our nursery.
Where Hillside Trees has provided delivery, install, irrigation and upkeep services with the purchase of plants, some warranty and guarantee may apply and will be considered on a case by case basis.
Bare Root Stock
Customers may request to purchase bare root stock, requests will be considered on a case by case basis. By requesting bare root stock the customer acknowledges that no warranty or guarantee has been made by Hillside Trees about the plants. Particularly as to whether the plants will grow, that the plants will be fit for purpose, that the plants will produce fruit, or that fruit produced will be fit for purpose.
Limitation of Liability
Occasionally there may be information on our website that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, availability, and services. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information on the website if inaccurate at any time without prior notice.
Hillside Trees will not be liable for any issues arising from the use of the website or products, including direct, indirect or consequential damages.
Hillside Trees will provide advice to customers based on the information provided by the customer. It is however the customer's responsibility to research each plant prior to purchase to check suitability and growing conditions suit the customer's application and location.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the parties involved are required to attempt resolution amongst themselves, and if the matter isn’t resolved in 30 days, the matter is to be referred to mediation.

The competition is open to Eyre Peninsula residents only
Each tree purchased equals one entry into the competition
There is no limit to how many entries one person may have
The prize consists of either a Eucalyptus Baby Blue or Cercis Forest Pansy
The competition is not open to employees or immediate family of the Hillside Trees staff
The winner will be drawn at random at COB on the 24th of December 2024
The winner will be notified first via phone call, in the event the winner does not pick-up, a voice message will be left and text message sent notifying the winner
Arrangements for the winner including the selected tree and collection or delivery date will be discussed with the winner
By agreeing to enter the competition, entrants agree to having their name and photo shared on Hillside Trees social media accounts.
No contact will be made with entrants who did not win
All personal details collected by Hillside Trees for the competition will be destroyed at the conclusion of the competition
